KNOW WHAT YOU WILL REPAY

What would your EMI be?

Change the numbers to explore your monthly payment and total repayment.

EMI / loan

LOOK BEYOND THE MONTHLY PAYMENT

Three numbers. A clearer decision.

01 / MONTHLY EMI

Your regular payment

The estimated amount you repay each month, combining principal and interest.

02 / TOTAL INTEREST

The cost of borrowing

What you pay above the borrowed amount. Try different tenures to see how this changes.

03 / TOTAL REPAYMENT

The complete picture

Principal plus interest over the loan term. Fees and other charges are additional.

Understand the estimate.

This calculator models a fixed-rate loan with equal monthly payments on a reducing balance. The monthly rate is the annual rate divided by 12. At zero interest, your EMI is simply the principal divided by the number of monthly payments.

It excludes processing fees, insurance, taxes, prepayments and changes in floating interest rates. Your lender's schedule may differ because of payment dates, rounding and charges. Your inputs stay in your browser.

Does a lower EMI mean a cheaper loan?

Not necessarily. At the same positive interest rate, a longer tenure usually reduces the monthly payment but increases total interest. Compare both numbers.

Can I use this for a home, car or personal loan?

Yes, for an estimate when the loan has equal monthly payments on a reducing balance. Enter the actual amount, rate and tenure you want to explore. It does not model flat-rate interest, moratoriums or changing rates.

Does this include prepayments or lender charges?

No. Extra repayments, processing fees and other charges are not included in this estimate. Compare it with the repayment schedule and terms provided by your lender.
